Hanmadang 2017 Shanghai
As you may be aware we have been invited to compete in the Jae Hun Kim International Hanmadang in Shanghai this November. A Hanmadang is a Korean festival of demonstration. Teams will give demonstrations of patterns, destruction and self-defence. We are delighted to confirm that we will be sending a team. This is open to all students/instructors. We plan to travel to Shanghai on Thurs Nov 9th and return the following Thurs Nov 16th. There will be a seminar with GM Kim on Sat 11th and the Hanmadang will take place on Sun 12th. (Dates subject to confirmation) Approximate costs for this trip will be €1,000-€1,200 per person. Once we have our team confirmed we plan to hold a number of fundraising events to help with the costs. We will have a meeting at the school on Sun March 5th at 12:45 so that anyone who is interested can ask questions. If you are interested in joining us please give your name to Amanda. Closing date for sign-up is Sunday March 12th. We will not be able to accept any late entries as we will be commencing planning/training immediately and would not be fair on the team. |
